Overview
Safely operating a switchboard is critical to preventing electrical hazards and ensuring smooth facility operations. This course guides participants through a hands-on experience where they will learn key tasks and functionality of an electrical switchboard. Users will gain practical skills to operate the switchboard confidently and safely.
What You'll Learn
The primary goal of this course is to educate workers on the components and operation of a switchboard. The course covers:
- How to fill out a Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Opening & Closing the switchboard
- Purpose and utilization of feeder breakers
- Utilizing the relay
- Removing panels for a live-dead-live test
- Locating and identifying switchboard components
This simulation is ideal for maintenance personnel, electricians, and supervisors who interact with or are responsible for switchboards.
